Many tourists come from around the world to visit Nepal in the months of March, April, and May because she has the finest weather in one way or another that will inspire the tourists who want to be under the blue sky. October is the best of all to visit Nepal because this is the month of the main festivals in Nepal. There is no doubt that the tourists will love October so much that they find everything in Nepal on their side. How hard is Gokyo Lakes Trek ?

Any trek in Nepal demands 101% physical fitness from you because the trekking trail scales from 3000 to 5000 m. You are likely to be within these elevations. Unfortunately, some trekkers are affected by altitude mountain sickness as they ascend higher from 3000 m, but we don’t see such an issue in the Gokyo Lakes Trek. The trekking trail is easier than that of the Everest Base Camp Trek, but you have to accept the fact that you are heading to the top of a viewpoint as well as to the area where there is a glacier. The scenic places are the difficult sections of the trek but they will end before 24 hours.

How do I get to Gokyo Lake ?

Don’t worry because what you are doing is guided trekking with our experienced guide who knows the scenic places of the Gokyo Valley that every trekker loves to visit. Your guide will not only take you to Gokyo Lake but also to other lakes that lie near the lake. It is really good to trek with a trekking guide who knows many things that are out of the itinerary. This will benefit a lot of trekkers because they want to know a lot from traveling. This rule is applicable when it comes to walking inside the Gokyo Valley and knowing its beauties.

    • This might be your first mountain flight in your life. Where there are mountains, you will see the highest mountains in the world. Your trekking guide will show you through the window, and after some days, you are going to be near these mountains. After landing in Lukla, it is all about walking the easy trekking trail that goes uphill and downhill to Phakding. You are already walking inside the Sagarmatha National Park, the World Heritage Site.

    • Today you are heading to the largest Sherpa village in Nepal. Not only the largest, but it also has what you want to eat and what trekking equipment you want to buy. Since it lies at a higher elevation, you have to walk steep uphill, but before that, you walk easy suspension bridges where your legs will be relieved.

    • This is the day to prepare yourself for a higher elevation, and you do it by walking up to the Everest View Hotel, from where the stunning view of Everest can be had. The hotel that you visit is the best in the Everest Region and has branches in more than 4 villages. In addition to visiting this hotel, you also visit the museum.

    • You know very well that you are going to trek. That means there are uphill and downhill waiting for you. But the good thing about this uphill is it shows you a beautiful view of the lakes, including mountains like Lhotse and Ama Dablam, the world’s most beautiful mountain. Eventually, you will reach the top of the hill where Dole is located. Actually, you are in a viewpoint rather than a village.

Thankfully, you are going to end this distance in a short period of time.

    • Since you are heading to an altitude of almost 5000 m, you know the trekking trail will be steep. And at this height, there are beautiful lakes. And they are 3 in number, and you are going to visit each of them. While our trekking guide accompanies you in a caring way, the view of Cho Oyu won’t stop satisfying your eyes. The guide takes you to glaciers and all the beautiful lakes of the region. Tonight, you will be at the base of Gokyo Ri.

    • Early in the morning before breakfast, head to the top of Gokyo Ri, from where you can see the iconic view of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, etc. After enjoying this view, trek downhill to reach Gokyo Ri, from where you will head to Dole by following the same trekking trail.
