    • If the tour itinerary given in the website suits you, you can book through e-mail or call us. Also if you want to customize your trip, we can start the dialogue and together we can develop an itinerary that really suits your utmost interests and travel dates. To help you in customizing the trip, decide the duration that you wish to spend in Nepal, destinations and the duration of stay in Nepal will determine your package costs.

    • The best way to apply for a visa is from the Nepalese diplomatic missions in your country. The other choice is to get it from Immigration office at the entry points of Nepal (Tribhuvan International Airport/TIA Kathmandu). All foreign nationals, except Indian Citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. TIA Airport upon the payment of the fee of US$ 40.Two copies of passport photos are required on the arrival. The visas can be extended, if required, upon the additional payment of US$30.

    • The best season to visit Nepal is from March to May and September to November. However, some tourists prefer to visit Nepal in the lean season too because there are abundant choices in terms of accommodation and flight bookings can be done very easily. June/August it is better to do a trek in the rain shadow like Upper Mustang, Dolpa in Nepal and Mt. Kailash in Tibet.

    • Yes, we advise you to get your insurance cover from your respective country. We recommend Global Rescue and World Nomads.

    • In Kathmandu we provide a 3 Star category hotel and can upgrade to 5 star category if required. During the trekking, we accommodate you in the best available(normal nice) teahouse. Teahouses are like hotels with hot showers, western food and private rooms (twin sharing). In this arrangement overnight halts with dinner and breakfast will be served in Teahouses (Lodges) and Lunch in local restaurants en-route. Furthermore as you will be staying in locally owned lodges you will be benefiting and interacting with the local community. It will give you a true feel for the Nepalese people and their lives.

    • We provide knowledgeable, reliable, friendly, experienced and English speaking guides.

    • Yes, it is ok and they really get a kick out of seeing themselves in print. So if you take photographs, please take copies and post them back to make sure they get delivered back to the people on one of your treks. But it is better to take permission from them before taking photographs. Sometimes they may get angry when taking photos without asking them.

    • Your porter/guide should not ‘ask you’ for anything, however at the end of your trek if he has done a good job and you feel he warrants a thank you, by all means give him something. You can tip the guide and porter at the end of the trek. Collect the amount from all the trekkers, better to tip by the group rather than individually.

    • You should allow 5 kg for your personal porter’s own gear such as his torch, clothes and other items he may feel essential for his trek. Porter can carry a maximum 25kg including his personal gears. We provide a duffle bag to put your stuff in and the weight limit is 10kg, a porter carries a two members duffle bag. You can store your valuable things and luggage/suitcase at the hotel or with us.

    •  No, you do not have to be a marathon runner or training for the Olympics. But you do have to be fit and healthy and one should be able to walk 5-7 hours a day. We suggest running, walking, hiking, climbing stairs to prepare for trekking.

    • Your trekking briefing will be done by the Peak Promotion Team at the office or hotel before departure of Trek.

    • No, there are any age restrictions. We can design a trek for children/teenagers/ pensioners. For children and pensioners, we offer short and easy treks around Kathmandu and Pokhara Valley. For adults and teenagers, we offer moderate to hard treks, like Everest Base Camp/ Manaslu/ Dolpa/ Mustang/ Annapurna/ Langtang etc.

    • Yes, it is our pleasure. Just let us know what you would like and we will do our best to help you. We never force our clients to follow our set itineraries. We can make our itineraries flexible according to the client’s interest. You can extend your trip to Chitwan or Pokhara.

    • We serve all basic meals breakfast, lunch and dinner including tea/coffee and hot water. You can select and order as per your interest from the menu, you may not know the quantity of the dishes so better to consult with your guide before making an order.

    • Our itineraries are designed so that our clients ascend at a sensible and safe rate. The effects of altitude are felt by gentle acclimatization allowing them to reach their high point without any problems.

    • There are telephones and internet facilities in most of the places along the popular trekking routes from which you can make international calls. We do provide a local sim card if required. You can write a daily blog and our guide will pass it to us so we update it on our website. We send a satellite phone in case of an emergency call.

    • Yes, our representative will be at the airport to pick you up. Outside the Terminal Hall, we will be displaying a play card of Peak Promotion sign with your name on it.
