Pitam Deurali to Forest Camp was a walk primarily through dense forest, almost like a jungle. We had a total ascent of about 500 m, moving between the trees, and during our lunch break we felt the warm sun and enjoyed the beautiful mountain views as we got closer.

Now we’re relaxing, reading, and having tea outside in our down jackets again — it’s supposedly around 10°C. Of course, we’ve also had some good food. For breakfast, we enjoyed very tasty Tibetan bread, best described as a huge, airy Swedish donut but without any sugar — more like a bread than a pastry.
