Angbabu Sherpa (Babu) is a highly accomplished Nepalese mountaineer, expedition leader, and tourism entrepreneur with more than 14 years of experience in the Himalayan adventure industry. Born in Patle, Okhaldhunga, Nepal, he has dedicated his career to mountaineering, trekking, expedition leadership, and mountain conservation. Throughout his distinguished climbing career, Angbabu has successfully summited some of the world's most iconic peaks, including Mount Everest (8,848.86 m), Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), Ama Dablam (6,814 m), Mera Peak (6,476 m), Thorang Peak (6,144 m), and Lobuche Peak (6,119 m), along with numerous other mountains above 6,000 meters across the Himalayas. Recognized for his leadership and expertise, he has served as a Sherpa Sardar and expedition leader on several prestigious national and international expeditions. His notable contributions include the "Safa Himal Clean-Up Campaigns", the Sagarmatha Height Measurement Expedition 2019, the IMF Everest Massif Expedition, and numerous high-profile Himalayan projects. He also contributed to the production of the Hollywood film Everest (2015), providing valuable support in the challenging Himalayan environment. Babu has received professional training in mountaineering, trekking leadership, rock climbing, wilderness first aid, and expedition management. His extensive knowledge, technical expertise, and commitment to safety have earned him a reputation as a trusted leader in the Himalayan tourism industry. As the Owner and Managing Director of Peak Promotion Pvt. Ltd., he oversees the company's strategic direction, expedition operations, and commitment to delivering world-class adventure experiences. He is also an active member of leading tourism and mountaineering organizations, including the Expedition Operators Association Nepal (EOA), Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA), Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN), Expedition Support Alliance (ESA), and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). Driven by passion, leadership, professionalism, and an unwavering respect for the mountains, Babu Sherpa continues to lead successful expeditions and inspire adventurers from around the world to explore the Himalayas safely and responsibly.
