Today was the most awaited day for our group, since we were going to reach Everest Base Camp.
However, the mood within the group went down a bit when we heard that Rajesh won't be trekking ahead because of medical reasons. It was decided that Rajesh would be sent down to Kathmandu for treatment. Sumit, despite being so close to EBC, volunteered to go with Rajesh and take care of him in Kathmandu.

The remaining 4 went ahead towards Gorakshep with the assistant guide Palsang, whereas the main guide Nwang stayed behind with Rajesh and Sumit to ensure safe evacuation.

It was a tough trek to Gorakshep and then to Everest Base Camp, but it was worth it. The feeling of successfully achieving the goal of this trek cannot be described in words. We could also see clear views of Lhotse and a bit of Mt. Everest.

We then waved our Indian Flag atop the Base Camp. At the end of the day, we returned to Gorakshep and were congratulated by our Guide and other fellow trekkers for reaching Everest Base Camp.
