30 October, 2013 - Trek to Pisang

Day 2 on the Annapurna trail brought us to Pisang.  After 14 days of trekking in total it was a pleasant 5 hour stroll through pine forests on road and trail.  While the jeep track ended at Chame, motorcycles were occasionally passing us along the road.  As the wind blew through the pines, the snow clad Annapurna II was on our left as we trekked long blue rivers and towering cliffs.  At one point the road had been cut into the side of the cliff leaving a spectacular overhang to walk under. At 2870 meters we took a break at an apple farm and had a sample tasting - the apple was great and it is amazing that they could grow at that elevation.  Following lunch the forest opened up into a range land type of environment with an enormous curving wall of rock on our right. Another great day of trekking in Nepal.
