         Ancient cosmography identifies Kailash with the mighty mountain sumeru, the central peak of the World. Mount Kailash, the holiest of all the holy mountains, the spiritual junction for both the Hindu and Buddhist, is situated in the western part of Tibet. The pilgrimage tour to Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar is a journey in to a remote and secluded land where one seems to leave behind one’s material attachments as they travel towards the holy lake. As per Hindu belief, Mt. Kailash is the eternal and permanent abode of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. It is believed that Lord Brahma created Manasarovar from his joyful tears. In Buddhist and Hindu religion Mt. Kailash is regarded as the most sacred and is believed to the navel of universe. It is Perfect Mountain with awesome beauty, with 4 great faces. It is originate near Kailash, the Indus, the Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra), the Karnali and Sutlej. Over the centuries pilgrims have constantly journeyed immense distances to achieve enlightenment cleanse themselves from sins, braving enormous distances particularly harsh weather condition.

Kailash Manasarovar is located in western Tibet. The altitude of Kailash Parbat (peak) Is 022022 ft. above sea level. Tarachen is located on 14960ft. above sea level, considered the base camp. The climate is unpredictable goes maximum 20 degree Celsius. The best visiting time to Kailash is from May- September. The distance for Parikaram around the Kailash is 52km and it takes 3 days to complete it. The altitude of Manasarovar is 14950ft. above the sea level. It is 102km and takes 3 days on walking for Parikrama of Manas. It is 817km from Kathmandu one way. Tibet time is 2 hrs a head than Nepal time.
