Chulu West is best accessed from a base camp situated in a small valley north of Manang off the main trail to the Thorong La. Some of the best views of these peaks can be had from that pass. When climbing these peaks, be prepared for steep scree to col a 4,900 m. North of the col ascend snow slopes for 200 meters to a rock band at 5,100 m. Climb this difficult rock band to 5,450 m., cross onto a snow plateau at 5,530m. and follow the progressively narrowing ridge to the summit (Chulu West).

Detail Itinerary of Chulu west
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Today first of all you will be met at the Airport and transferred to the Hotel. Chulu east climbing briefing with officially arrangements, overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 02:Kathmandu – city tour (a World UNESCO heritage site, Swoyambhunath, Bouddhanath) and Preparation day
Day 03:Drive to Beshi Sahar
Today we drive towards Beshi Sahar from Kathmandu. Our journey goes through Pokhara, Dumre. We have to cross the route of Marshyngdi river and some villages to reach Beshi Sahar is a capital of Lamjung district, overnight stay in Beshi Sahar.
Day 04:Trek to Ngadi
It takes about 5-6 hrs to reach Ngadi from Beshi Sahar. The way to Ngadi is narrow and we have to cross suspension bridges. We can see the Mountain View of Mt. Lamjung and Manaslu on the way to Ngadi, overnight stay in Ngadi.
Day 05:Trek to Syange
Our trek goes towards Syange from Nyagdi. Syange is small village where we can see observe the different culture of people there.
Day 06:Trek to Tal
Our journey goes towards Jagat from Taal. Then we have to passes through eyes taking waterfall and suspension bridges. On the way to Taal we can see Mountain View of Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Lamjung.
Day 07:Trek to Bagarchhap
Our trail continuously goes through forests of hemlock, pine, oak, spruce. In Bagarchhp we can see Tibetan architecture of houses made of stone.
Day 08:Trek to Chame
We have to walk about 5 hrs to reach Chame from Bagarchhap. Our trail climbs to Tamang village from where we can see the Manaslu ranges. After some walk we reach Chame, Chame is the center of Manang district with government offices and shopping places, overnight stay in Chame.
Day 09:Trek to Pishang
Today our trail goes through fir and pine forests and we also have to cross-rocky trail and suspension bridge. From Pisang we can see Pisang Peak and Annapurna II, overnight stay in Pisang.
Day 10:Trek to Manang
Our trek climbs up towards Manang. On the way we can see Annapurna III and Annapurna IV. We have to cross Marsyangdi Khola. We can also see Monastery, Chortens, Mani walls, Tilicho peak way to Manang. Today our trail stops in large village Manang.
Day 11:Manang – Acclimatization day
We can stay another day in Manang. Today we trek down to river from where we can see ice- fall cascading.
Day 12:Trek to Yak Kharka
We have to cross Gunsung village to reach Yak Kharka and on the way we can see beautiful views of Annapurna Mountain range.
Day 13:Trek to Chulu West Base Camp
After having breakfast we trek towards the with our members team. We set our camp there, overnight stay in Base Camp.
Day 14:High Camp
After breakfast we have to trek towards high Camp. The trail is quite difficult, overnight stay in High Camp
Day 15:Summit > Base Camp
Today we climb to summit. We have to fix the rope, which help us to make successful climb of Chulu west. From top we can see wonderful scenes of Annapurna, Throng Peak, Chulu east, Gangapurna and some other mountain ranges.
Day 16:Extra day for Summit
We have an extra day in summit in case of bad weather and sickness.
Day 17:Trek to Yak Kharka
We trek down to Yak Kharka. On the way we can see beautiful views of Annapurna Mountain range.
Day 18:Trek to Thorang Phedi
Today we have to cross Thorang-La pass. The trail continuously goes through the easy path. On the way we can see Chorten and prayer flags near to Thorang Phedi. We can see the beautiful Mountain View of Dhaulagiri through our trek.
Day 19:Cross Thorang Pass and stay at Muktinath
After leaving Thorang Phedi we walk towards Muktinath. On the way we have to cross Thorang Pass, from where we can see Mountains view like Dhaulagiri, Dampus Phedi, Thapa peak etc and we can also see Jomsom village from here. After Thorang Pass we walk towards Muktinath. Muktinath temple is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Behind the temple, there are 108 waterspouts, which are ever known as Mukti Dhara. People believed that by taking bath in this waterspout god absolve the sins of the People, that's why many people go there for worshipping Lord Vishnu. Today overnight, stay in Muktinath.
Day 20:Trek to Jomsom
Trek toJomsom, which is the administrative center of this region. We have to trek through Kagbeni, the lifestyle of people is Tibetan and they also follow Tibetan culture and we can also visit Monastery there. From Jomsom we can see the fascinating view of Tilocho Peak and Nilgiri. Here is an existence of airport, government offices, and army camp. Day 21:Fly to Pokhara
In the morning we fly towards Pokhara from Jomsom.
Day 22:Fly to Kathmandu
Day 23:Kathmandu – free day, waking tour around Thamel followed by farewell dinner.
Day 24: Depart from Kathmandu
Departure from Kathmandu with wonderful memories of Peak climbing of Chulu west.
