The route to Annapurna Sanctuary is the site of the Annapurna south face base camp that is the amazing trek. Although it has some steep climb but the trek is not much hard. The trek to Annapurna Sanctuary leads a diversity of terrain, from lowland villages to rich terraces to glacier and presents magnificent high mountains views.

Trek starts from Pokhara to Annapurna Base camp & Machhepuchre Base Camp walking up from Nayapul and back with in two weeks living on the mountains. It helps fully entertained with the high altitude panorama. On the route to Ghorepani, it provides a view of Dhaulagiri from

Poon Hill. In spring season you surely encounter with massive forests of Rhododendron - i.e. evergreen shrub with large clusters of bell-shaped flowers.

Detail itinerary of Annapurna Sanctuary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Our Peak Promotion representative will be at Kathmandu Airport to pick up you to the Hotel. There will be short briefing about the Annapurna trek.

Day 02:  Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Preparation day for Trek
In the morning we begin tour with our renowned Guide of Peak Promotion. Today you can visit Hindu Temple (Pashupatinath), Monkey Temple (Swoyambhunath), Bouddhanath and Patan. In the evening our guide will check your trekking equipments that you have.

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara & drive to Nayapul   and trek to Tikhedhunga (1520m)
Today we fly towards pokhara, which takes about 25 minutes and then we drives towards Nayapul. On the way to Nayapul we can see green forests, local markets and rivers. We can see Mt. Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Annapurna Range near from Pokhara. After Nayapul we have to trek towards Birethati. We have to cross 2 bridges to reach Birethati after that we move towards our destination place Tikhedhunga, overnight stay in Tikhedhunga.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2860m)
Today after having breakfast our trek gently goes towards Ghorepani. From Tikhedhunga it takes about 2 hrs to reach Ulleri. After Tikhedhunga, the way is full of stone paved in the middle and right and left of the way is full of Rhododendron trees.  Ulleri is a peaceful and beautiful village, from where we can see Annapurna Range and small hills. On the way we can see rhododendron forest, waterfalls, small bridges and river. In Ghorepani we can see health post, school, police check post, stupa, temple. From Ghorepani we can see nice view of Annapurna Range. Here we can find Internet service also. Most of the trekkers stay in Ghorepani because Ghorepani is the main point to go to Poonhill. In Ghorepani we can find good lodge for stay, overnight stay in Ghorepani.

Day 05:  Hike to Poonhill (3193m) and back to Ghorepani - trek to Tadapani (2630m)
Today you have to wake up early in the morning for hiking to Poonhill. It takes about 1 hour to reach at the top of Poonhill. Poonhill was discovered by Late Major Tek Bahadur Poon. From Poon Hill we can see all Mountains of Annapurna Range including Mt.Dhaulagiri (above 8000m), Mt.Annapurna (above 8000m), Mt.Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and other 7000m mountains. Here, we can see beautiful sunrise view also. So, Poon Hill is a viewpoint of sunrise and Mountains. After visiting Poon Hill we return back to the lodge and after having breakfast we will head up towards Tadapani. The trail is full of rhododendron forests, waterfalls and flowers etc.  In Tadapani we can again see beautiful mountains of Annapurna Range and Mt. Machhapuchhare (Fishtail). The view from here is also spectacular, overnight stay in Tadapani.

Day 06: Tadapani to Chhomrung (2170m)
Today after breakfast our trek gently goes towards Chhomrung. From Tadapani, the way goes through forest and after crossing it we reach the place called “Chuile’’. After that we again started our trek towards the place called “Gurjung”. Here the local people grow vegetable for themselves. Local people import other necessary things from Pokhara by the help of Mules. After walking about 2 hrs we reach Chhomrong, which is the destination place for today, overnight stay in Chhomrong.

Day 07:  Chhomrug to Dovan (2600m)
Today we have to walk from Chhumrung to Dovan, which takes about 6 hrs. From Chhumrong we have to walk about 1 hour downward then we have to cross 1 bridge and we have to walk up towards place name called “Sinuwa”. After that we reach place called ‘Bamboo’. From Bamboo we have to walk through jungle to reach Dovan, overnight stay in Dovan.

Day 08: Dovan to Deurali (3200m)
In the morning after having breakfast we headed towards Deurali. The way is similar as we walk before until Himalaya. After Himalaya the altitude starts. We can see herbs, Shrubs but not big trees, different kind of birds and we can also see ‘Hinku Cave’ on the way to Deurali. We can also see Glacier on the way. After that we reach Deurali, which is the destination of today’s trek, overnight stay in Deurali.

Day 09:  Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m)
On the way from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp we can see spectacular views of mountains, hills and also beautiful streams. We can see river, shrubs, herbs and mostly hills surrounded view. We can see many glaciers on the way to Annapurana Base Camp. It takes about 2 hrs from Deurali to reach Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m). The way to “Annapurna Base Camp” from “Machhapuchhre Base Camp” is very smoothly and gradually up. We can see many beautiful flowers on the way. “Annapurna Base Camp” is located in the center of beautiful mountains. Overnight stay in the lodge of Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m)
In the morning we can see Mt.Annapurna 1, Mt.Annapurna South, Himchuli Peak, Mt.Fishtail and other very beautiful mountains from the Base Camp. After seeing the beautiful views of Mountains you have to head towards your destination place called ‘Bamboo’. The way from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo the way is same, overnight stay in Bamboo.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinudanda (1780m)
Today our trek goes towards Jhinudanda. From Bamboo to Sinuwa the way is nice with rhododendron forest. Mainly in spring season rhododendron blooms and we can see nice view of rhododendron flowers. Jhinudanda is very nice place where we can go Hot spring and we can also enjoy the Hot spring bath, overnight stay in Jhinudanda.
 
Day 12: Jhinudanda to Pothana (1890m) Today our trek gently goes towards Pothana. We have to cross the places New Bridge, Landruk, Bhedikharka, Deurali and after that we reach our destination place Pothana. Pothana is a very nice place from where we can see Annapurna mountain range, Fishtail and other beautiful mountains view, overnight stay in Pothana.

Day 13: Potana to Dhampus (1650m) to Phedi (1130m) and drive to Pokhara
Today is the last day of the trek. It takes about 1 and half hour to reach Phedi. The way is as same as before like full of green trees side by side in the middle the path is full of stone paved. After Phedi we drive towards Pokhara, which is very beautiful and clean city. After having lunch in lodge we can go for sightseeing in David falls, Gupteshwor cave, Taal Barahi and beautiful lake “Phewa” from where we can see beautiful view of Mt. Fishtail. At Phewa Lake we can enjoy by doing boating, overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 14:  Flight/ Drive - Pokhara to Kathmandu                                                                                          

Day 15: Kathmandu - walking tour around Thamel followed by farewell dinner

Day 16: Departure from Kathmandu
