The Pikey Trek is a comfortable trekking route among the others treks with pikey peak (4,068m) being one of the tallest mountains of Solu (lowland of Everest region). Name of the Pikey is taken from the two names of the Sherpa people. It is well known for its majestic sunrises, Himalayan range, Sherpa culture and their traditions. This trail begains way through Jiri, Shivalaya, Bhandra, Namkheli, Ngaur to reach the Pikey Danda(Hill) Chyangba village, Bhitta kharka and Phaplu.

The Pikey Trek is renowned for its sunrise and sunset and magnificent views of the Himalayan range of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjungha, Gauri Shankar, Lhotse Shar, Numbur, Khatang, Karyalung, Annapurna, Nuptse, Amadablam, Shishapangma, Thamserku and Mera peak etc. The pikey Trek Base Camp trekking is one of the most popular trekking trails of the Everest region, probably one of the lower elevation view points to see the Mt. Everest (8,848m). It is famous for because of having marvelous Himalayan scenery including the mountains range, the Rhododendron flower, Magnolia and wild orchids and the festival season in August that includes a cleansing ritual: thousand of devotees walk to the lake for the festival from village all around Solukhumbu. 

This trek is approximately 12-13 days in length and start from Jiri.   The main highlight of this trail is observing local monasteries; the Chewang monastery will be the best opportunity to explore spiritual paths. Also you could be able to observe different culture, languages, life style of the Tamang, Magar and Sherpa’s. Dramatic scenery of mountains, Main walls, Buddhist Stupas , Landscape, Himalayan floras and faunas, an ancient monasteries and splendid high altitude vegetation etc  are the main attraction of this trail. While trekking passing through Pikey peak you will be able to experience sunrise views surrounded by mountain peaks like Kanchenjunga, Dhaulagiri and including Everest.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. (1310m)

In your arrival at the Tribhuvan International airport the representative of Peak Promotions staff will be giving you warm welcome in adventurous Himalayan country Nepal. 

Day 02: In Kathmandu, Sightseeing
In morning, after having breakfast you visit the heritage sites of Kathmandu and prepare for the trekking. While visiting, our representative guides you and helps you to get knowledge about those heritage sites. In the morning you visit the Boudhanath sputa- the oldest Buddhist sputa. Then you visit the oldest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. After that you head to another Buddhist sputa Swayambhunath which is located in the hillock. From there you can observe the 360 degree view of the Kathmandu valley. After that you have a lunch. Then you prepare for the trekking.

Day03: Fly to Rumjatar and trek to center

It is our first day of trek early in the morning we fly to Rumjatar. And we start our trek to the center.

Day04: Trek to Thare:

It’s our second day of trek to Thare. We can observe many natural beauties during our trek.

Day 05: Trek to Patale:

On the way, we can experience the Tamangs, Magars and Sherpas culture. Not only this, we can also enjoy the views of beautiful sceneries of mountains and landscapes and we can also observe monasteries, mani walls on the way.

Day 06: Hike to Changge Dande- Rest day

Early in the morning Hike to Changee Dande. From there you can see the natural beauties, take some photo –and take a rest.

Day 07: Trek to Chyangba Village

 This was the homeland of Late Mr. Wongchu Sherpa and many of our Sherpa guides.  The valley is magnificent, deep and green with scattering of neatly keep homes and fields.  We will be visiting the ancient monastery and school in chyanbga village.  You can meet many children. Interact with the Local people and get chance to learn more about their life style. You can enjoy by seeing the fresh atmosphere with ever green forests.

Day 08: Trek to Lhamjuje:

After observing so many beautiful scenario and visiting monastery and school we start our trek towards Lhamuje. It is also one of the beautiful places.

Day 09: Trek to Pike Peak.

You can see many views from the top of the Pikey Peak. You can take photo with the beautiful environment over there. Down into the jungle we can see many rhododendrons, beautiful birds flying in the open sky, peace and green environment, animals etc.

Day 10: Trek to kunikope:

Today we begain our trek towards Kunikope. It is also one of the most beautiful place from this place we can see many views.

Day11: trek to Phaplu:

Another great day of trekking towards Phaplu.  Up and down valleys.  Passing through villages with colorful doors, many beautiful snowy mountains can be seen. We ca also see Local people waking here to there for their household works, children running from up and down with joyful face.

Day 12: fly back to Kathmandu

You wake up early in the morning flight back to Kathmandu. After arriving Kathmandu, you can visit any place whatever you are intended to.

Day 13: Kathmandu rest day:

Today is extra day you can take rest, go around and visit some areas, do shopping, and in evening special farewell dinner will be held.

Day 14: Departure to home

This day you flight to your own destination.
