Khumbu trek highlighted the Sherpa culture, habitants and villages of Khumbu region. Highest mountain range and Buddhist religion, monuments, monasteries and the mani stones are the other attraction of this trekking. We follow the trail same as Everest Base Camp from Lukla and start our trek. On the way we visit different cultural and religious places. Tengboche will be our high altitude place on our trek at the elevation of 3900 m. It is the greatest religious site for the Sherpa people of Khumbu Region and the best place of the world that provides the most magnificent view of the Himalayan giants; Kwangde (6187m.), Twachee (6542m.), Amadablam (6812m), Everest (8848m.), Nuptse (7879m), Lhotse (8501m.), Kangtega and Thamserku.
You will be meet at Airport and transferred to Hotel and there will be briefing about Khumbu trek.
Early in the morning flight to Lukla. It takes around half an hour flight to reach Tenzing and Hillary airport Lukla. Lukla is a small city in the lap of High Mountain. It is commence point of our trek. We trek towards Phakding. On the way we can see Mt.Nupla and Kusum Kangru, overnight stay in Phakding.
We continue walking along the bank of Dudh Koshi River, passing small villages and many suspension bridges. We have to cross Sherpa villages and forests of rhododendron tress, Magnoli tress and firs to reach Namche. We walk real up hill slowly to reach to Namche. Namche is the administrative center of Khumbu region. It is a marketplace for the people of Khumbu and also for trekkers to buy equipments. We stay overnight in Namche.
Namche Bazar is a beautiful village, which is the comfortable for stay. Today we hike to Syangboche, Khumjung and Khude from where you can see close view of Mt. Everest and you can also observe the culture of Sherpa people.
It takes about 5 hrs to reach Thame from Namche. Today we have to walk towards Thame and on the way to Thame we can see Mani stone, Prayer flag and Chortens. The scenario way to Thame is fantastic.
Today we trek towards Khumjung. The snowy peaks surround the beautiful Khumjung valley. From Khumjung we can see the world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest. The Monastery of Khumjung is very beautiful to see. Khumjung is the traditional village and the culture of people of this place may be interesting for you.
Today we trek towards Tengboche from Namche Khumjung. Tengboche is the best place of the world that provides the most magnificent view of the Himalayan giants, Kwangde (6187m.), Twachee (6542m.), Amadablam (6812m), Everest (8848m.), Nuptse (7879m), Lhotse (8501m.), Kangtega and Thamserku. In Tengboche We can also visit Buddhist Monastery, which is the largest Monastery of Khumbu.
Today we reach Monjo with enjoying the downhill walks. It quite long walks. After passing Namche Bazaar on the way we reach Monjo and stay overnight.
This is our final and last walk to the mountain. We prepare for the flight to Kathmandu. This is our last and memorable day in Khumbu. We spend our night celebrating with Sherpa friends and their culture.
Fly back towards Kathmandu from Lukla.
