11th April, 2014 - A rest day for the ages.

On our layover day in Dingboche, 4410m, we did an acclimization hike to 5083m on a ridge of Nagkar  Tshang.  We were rewarded with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.   After a brief break we returned with high winds coming up from the ridge as we descended to Pheriche where Mark worked for 3 months in the fall of 1988 at the HRA clinic.  We enjoyed a delicious lunch waiting for the clinic to reopen and then visited the facility.   When we returned to our teahouse it was quite busy with  the Korean  Island Climbing Team.  Reviewing the day, we had more exercise than rest.       - Ron
