After a good night of sleep at Namche the team Groups in Khumjungwoke up energized to spread the day acclimatizing with a scenic hike to the sherpa village of Khumjung . The hike provided stunning views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam. The trail was no cakewalk (except for the Sherpa who were whistling + singing on evan the steepest climbs). We reached a high point of 12700ft. at the Japanese built Everest view hotel. After warm tea and breath taking views of Everest, We continued on to the beautiful village Khumjung passing a number of chortens along the way. We had a filling lunch at the Khumjung bakery where must of us agreed that the apple pie was perhaps the best on the planet.

Our return to Namche was marked by a spontaneous snowball fight (initiated by the Johnson boys.) All but Dave + Dan were soon shaking snow from the gear.

The weather was great and the team was strong . Tonight we spend another night at Namche in prepration for tomorrow hike to Thyangboche............. Namaste, Don.
