April 28, 2015- Trek back to Phakding

The gentle murmuring of the Sherpas at my side because I am last, I don't mind. I got to see monkey and wild goats, wild duck the others missed I have to be slow and protect my I T ligament, besides every time I come in last I get the cheer.....RUSSELL MANIA!!!! What a great crew. The earthquake has put a little damper on today's trek, so many houses damaged. Pemba at my side continually helping, during one slide he said 11 yaks perished. Much sadness when we see slides on the trail and they are so huge they make me stand in wonder. Some huge rocks came down and destroyed trees. We left Namche Bazar today; when we arrived yesterday it was like an ghost town, the people had closed shops and were sleeping in tents in many available fields. Lunch at waterfall place, it was cold and rained a little. Arrived in Phakding and I hope the last suspension bridge which have been plaguing me....never knew I had such fear of heights in that situation. Still I have tears daily for no reason....or great reason. Beautiful scenes, wonderful peeps.
