Another exciting day began early with a mouse on the face wake up. Following the teachings of Lama Geshe from yesterday, the mouse was spared to terrify another innocent trekker another day. After breakfast we crawled our way up Mt Nagkar Tshang, at 5080 meters a challenging acclimatization hike. Snow covered the ground as we started and through a combination of song, luck and will we reached the prayer flags at the summit.
We then attended a altitude lecture at the Himalayan Rescue Association clinic in Pheriche. Afterwards a tour of their facility and an opportunity to listen to some case studies they have had at the clinic. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to meet the staff of the clinic. They, as well as the doctors at the Everest ER, are volunteers for the trekking and climbing season. Now its time for dinner and more tomfoolery. Cheating card games, and rodent attacks. Thanks to our amazing guides and trip leaders, we are all very grateful.
