Before 9 AM we’re on Yeti airlines’ 3rd flight of the morning from Pokhara to Jomsom. The weather is clear and sunny and the 20 minute flight to Jomsom is spectacular. All the Annapurna’s sparkle out the right side of the plane. Dhaulagiri is straight ahead and Nilgiri is to the left as we fly up the narrow valley.

After enjoying the sights in Jomsom Pasang our cook fixed lunch of flat bread with cheese, bacon, potatoes with spinach, oranges and hot drinks - delicious

Properly fortified we headed up the Kali Ganadaki to Kagbini. We walked along the river bed with a breeze blowing that grew to a cold wind by Kagbini. We passed men on horses, women doing laundry, goats on the hillside, snow capped peaks and a small village where we stopped for drinks before finishing the four mile walks to Kagbini. The barley fields were green and the trees were starting to leaf out.

After setting up the gear in the tents we took a walk around the village. Stone walls lined all the winding paths through town creating the feel of being in a maze. As a result we last our way and ended up wandering through the barley fields. We made it back just in time for dinner having seen an amazing village with stone walkways, ladders, dead ends and farm animals.

Dinner was wonderful - sizzling chicken, mashed potatoes, noodles, vegetables and fruit.
