Another cold morning at 3650 m and breakfast as usual at 7 o’clock. As soon as the sun rose it got warmer. Today’s walk started over the three limits and after a while we came to the rhododendron and blue pine tree forest. We mostly walked on flat ground and going slowly down.
We stopped for lunch at Bulbule at 3270 m. A well deserved lunch and a well needed rest in the sun. Some kids from the family were very curios and interested in our small Larsbears which we had hanging on our backpacks. They played with them, kissed them and almost tried to eat them. We gave them pens and papers and they looked very happy.
We continued through the blue pine tree and rhododendron forest. The view was spectacular with Mount Everest and the Himalaya in the background. Suddenly it got misty and we passed a lumber yard where everything was made by hand very skillfully. We also passed a monastery before getting to our new camp at Japre 2835m.
It was a long and slow walk as some of us are suffering from the high altitude and we all were very glad when we saw that all the tents were up so we could all lay down for a while before dinner.
