Friday 10th of November
After a successful first day of trekking, we woke up to a chilly morning, but our spirits were up as soon as we saw the clear skies, this would be a good day. We ate a tasty breakfast and head off. It's funny how the body was almost happy to get going and no sign of tiredness. The first part of the day, until lunch was flat trekking, or as flat as Nepal comes.
We had a really nice lunch at Jorsale (2827m), sat in the sun and enjoyed life. After the lunch we started our climb towards Namche Bazaar and despite the endless steps up that put our hearts and lungs to test, our mood were lightened by the amazing nature surrounding us. We crossed our highest and longest hanging bridge before hitting the traffic jam, we weren't the only ones wanting to see glimpse of Mt. Everest. Last stretch went in a steady pace and before we noticed, the gates of Namche (3440m) were in front of us. We got our rooms with view deluxe and were proud of our little team that managed this first real test of our trek with flying colours. Happy Friday!
