On the day of October 30,2017 Namaste! A rest day in Namche. We Visited the Everest viewpoint again in the morning and were rewarded with a perfect view of Everest, Amadablam and Lhotse. Nearly blown off the mountain on our way there by a landing army helicopter full of who knows what dignitaries! Spent a good couple of hours at the Sherpa and Everest museum learning so much about these wonderful people and their culture. They are very special. Real Americano and espresso coffees were a welcome reward after our studies, the last for some time We fear. After lunch we visited the Monastery, very beautiful, although all the monks are away in the surrounding mountains. This country has an atmosphere of peace and happiness we've not experienced elsewhere. Tomorrow we move on, trekking for four days up to Gokyo. This will be higher and colder but we feel well prepared, and very confident in our great guide Noah. We'll do our best to update the blog daily as we travel up.
