Today is the last day of our ABC trek! If I look back, it's difficult to believe that we could achieve this milestone with sheer determination and team work. Kudos to the entire nine ACUBE ABC team! We left lower Sinuwa (2200 m) at 7:30 am to descent 500m and climbed all the way to Chomrong (2600 m). Boy that was a steep climb! We took a break near the Tibetian refugee shop to buy some souvenirs and took some group photos including the ACUBE signature photograph! I am sure we have done lot of digital proliferation, for each of us have probably clicked close to 1000+ high resolution photos We stopped for lunch break at Jhinudanda but had to skip our plan of going to the sulphur springs as we were getting late. In between we also lost track of Maniji as he was ahead of us and didn't wait at Jhinudanda. Karma Sherpa went ahead in search of Maniji while we finished our lunch. He found Maniji on the way and had lunch at the next point tea house. We joined them and continued on our trail to finally reach Syauli Bazar at 5:30 pm. Everyone had tears of joy on their face on completing this final trail! We had trekked 14 kms for the day and had reached an elevation of 1300 km. It was time to celebrate and we raised a toast with Khukri ( Nepali RUM) to keep up with ACUBE tradition. The next day we traveled to Pokhara via Nayapul by a mini bus. We had one day stay in Pokhara and enjoyed the day shopping around. In the evening we strolled around the Pokhara Lake enjoying the beautiful weather. Post dinner, Kiran Mohite entertained all of us with his (actual!!) experience in Brazil and Amsterdam. It was so hilarious that we couldn't laugh any more due to pain in our chest and had to call off for the night at 12:30 am.The next day morning some of us went for paragliding and some for massage. Later in the afternoon at 2:30 pm we flew from Pokhara to Kathmandu. We reached Hotel Himalaya around 5 pm, refreshed ourselves and left for the farewell dinner hosted by Peak Promotion team. The restaurant Nepali Bhojan was awesome as we relished the multiple course dinner, along with Rakshi (local wine), Khukri and enjoyed the folk dance. We were back to our hotel and packed our bags as we had to leave early morning at 6:30 am to catch our flight to New Delhi.
It was a wonderful and great experience for the last 13 days that we will cherish for ever! Our sincere thanks to Peak Promotion Pvt. Ltd. and our best wishes to the Wongchu Sherpa Trust. I remember the briefing at the Peak Promotions office on 3rd October before we left for the ABC trek, Keshab Paudel (Chairman of Peak Promotions) had assured that we will feel rejuvenated and lose some weight after the trek is completed! That stands true as we are busting with lot of energy and feel refreshed as we head back to Pune. I will admit that the kick of Himalayan treks is so addictive that we have already decided for our next trek for 2017 October to Everest Base Camp + Island peak or Stok Kangri which are at an altitude of 6100 m, with Sunil Karegaudar leading the trek. Until then start practicing and don't forget to enroll for the next trek!
Pheri Bhetaula -as they say in Nepal!

We Will meet again
