Today was a long day of climbing up to Namche Bazar.  Along a very beautiful raging river we saw snow covered mountain peaks that looked like clouds but were not.  We crossed many long suspension bridges where there were weathered prayer flags attached. The trail was quite busy with lots of sherpas-men and women-carrying heavy loads on their backs and also nacks, mules and goats were on the trail.  We made friends with a stray dog whom we named Roadie because he was built just like Todd!  At lunch three curious children playfully said American words to us like “Hi, hello and I love you.”  Our last two and a half hours were a very difficult terrain climbing non-stop up rocks, and cut out steps to 12,000 ft.  We passed patches of snow and mud from the thunderstorms last night.  Happily we arrived at our tea house where warm showers and a wonderful meal awaited us…if only there was a bathtub…
