The flight went well without any delays or hardships. When we took off from Stockholm I brought a copy of one of the daily newspapers (Dagen Industri), in which they had 1 page report on a Swedish climbing crew that were on their way to summit Mount Everest. They happened to sit on the row in front of us.
When arriving at Tribhuvan, our two friendly and easygoing guides for the trip met up with us, Rupa Dhungana (she will be our guide in Kathmandu), and Pema Diki (our Sherpa guide on the trekking) We were told that Pema Diki has actually climbed Mount Everest, so we are certainly in good hands.
Kathmandu has a nice feel about it, we are looking forward to explore the city tomorrow. Rupa will take us to some Hindu temples. We are quite tired after the transfer here, but we had a walk in the area, had some Indian food and did some shopping.
The day was finished off with the Peak promotion crew walking us through the schedule for the coming weeks. Seems like we have lot of nice experiences ahead..
