The day, unexpectedly, started a lot early. Phula had to wake up at 3.00AM to arrange a horse for Amit. He travelled all the way to Dingboche from Pheriche, checking with all the horse owners if horses were available.
The previous day exertion hit me hard. I wasn’t able to eat or move. Ultimately a dose of painkillers made me walk. Amit found his horse and we all started for Lobuche. I managed to crawl through the route for about 2 hrs before grabbing the horse from Amit.
We stopped at Thukla for lunch. Today it was Dorgee Sherpa's 20th year of scaling the summit. We had a small celebration for him.
I gained energy after lunch and was in a normal condition. I was walking continuously at a good pace which also increased positivity within me. We reached Lobuche(4930m) around 3.30 pm and all the group members looked in a stable condition except Nikhil who was struggling hard to contact his wife to wish her for her birthday.
Tomorrow we head to Gorakshep(5170m) and kalapatthar(5600m).
