13th May, 2013 - Trek to Tengboche

Today was the beautiful treck, enjoyable, interesting and tiring too. We started around 8 am from Namche. The valley on the way was beautiful. Via Lousasa and Pungi tanga villages we reached Tengboche in the evening by around 4.30 pm. Tengboche route is fully surrounded by tall trees and the most beautiful Rhododendron flowers. The route and the valley is full of these flowers, appearing in different colours, dark pink, red, white and few other shades. Some of the team mates were lucky enough to have sight of the national bird of Nepal viz. Horoscop (dafe). There was a bit drizzle on way to Tengboche and in some places snow fall too. When we reached the Hotel Himalaya, at Tengboche, which is strategically located to get beautiful view of the entire range of peaks through the room, including the Mount Everest. We had a little walk in Tengboche as a part of acclimatization. Lhotse and Everest were partly covered with clouds, but at times beautiful sight of both was available. There was sunshine on parts of these peaks giving them an extra ordinary look.
Tomorrow morning the team shall march for pheriche.
