We spent last night in Phortse tanga. It was a great camp site by the Dudhkoshi River, lots of beautiful rhododendrons along the banks of the River. The sound of the running glacial waters lulled us to a good deep sleep. This morning we headed for Khumjung at 8:30 Am. Our group now consists of me. Franchesca and Lia, Evan, Mike and Tim are off to other destinations. Phortse Tanga to Khumjung was virtually straight up out of camp. After about an hour we got to the top of the ridge and headed down for Khumjung .Us we left camp we picked up a dog as traveling companies he kept us company until just after we top the ridge.

Arrived in Khumjung around noon and the Gompa, We saw the yeti skull inside. We spent the rest of the afternoon writing postcards and catching up on our Journals. At sunset we plan to hike up a small hill for views and pictures. These posta have been slow getting to the web site because of the limited access to the internet. Please stay posted.
