Commenced climbing at 02:00 under clear skies. All climbers were moving well through upper rock section, finding some parts of the route somewhat demanding in the dark, but finding no difficult problems. The party reached the glacier at 05;45, Where we switched to crampons and set out across and up the glacier .We found many more open crevasses than four years ago. Beautiful sculpted blue ice, but also more complex route-finding.

We reached the headwall at about 06:45, where we found four pitches of fixed line. Lucking we had passed a large party in the rock area, and were able to tackle the climb directly with all hands on top by 0800. >From there, three cases, if exposed pitches led us to the summit by 09:00Am.Many pictures- then rappels down to the glacier, easy walk to the rocks. Lunch there then the long but cheerful walk back to BC. Where we arrived 1345.fifteen minutes less than a twelve hour day, Glorious views, Fantastic weather....
