Today, all but one of the groups moved up to the last tea house before reaching EBC. Our friend needed another acclimatization day at Labuche, and we hope to see him soon. The rest of the group scattered after a late lunch – Clay & Kirsty scrambled up Kala Patthar, Suzi, Pranav, Jim & I chilled while charging solar chargers in the sunny courtyard, others showered, toured around. At this point all but one in our group started, continued, or upped their doses of acetazolamide to improve acclimatization. We want our best shot at reaching our goal of spending 2 nights at EBC. All were in bed early, anticipating the next day’s mission.
I can honestly say, this group is as diverse and cohesive as any that could have been hand-picked. I feel honored and invigorated by everyone on our journey. We are learning from one another, and I hope to harness the energy from the Khumbu, from the trekkers, from our Sherpa's and from the adventure, and incorporate it into “real life” when the time comes.
Namaste and Hugs
