October 5, 2014 - Trek Back to Sinuwa

The theme of the day…down…down…down (to the tune of Rock Lobster).

We woke to a crystal clear 360 deg view of the Annapurna mountain range. While slipping on the frosted ground due to sub-zero temperatures, we walked through the "hidden valley" up towards the glaciers for pictures, including the first clear view of Annapurna I.

After a breakfast of an apple pancake, we started our decent back down the trail we had taken up to ABC. 15 miles and 6500 ft down, we settled for the night in Sinuwa at the "Real Sinuwa Cottage and Restaurant". The final leg of our journey was actually the most fun, as we were engulfed in a rainstorm with the largest drops ever seen. Thanks to Dave's preparations for such conditions, we sailed through the experience with a smile. We are currently enjoying a return to warmer temperatures, having ginger tea on the patio to enjoy the valley view while our legs begin the recovery process for tomorrow
