We woke up early morning to a splendid view of the snow-clad Annapurna mountain peak - a delight for all the photography enthusiasts. I doubt if the beauty of the majestic Himalayas can ever be captured on film.
After a hearty breakfast we set of for Chhomrong (2100metres), a good six hours away. The initial route was down hill to the river through lush verdant forests which we crossed over on a rope bridge. There after it was all a steep climb for our lunch halt at Jhinudanda. There is a hot spring 20 minutes away. After lunch was again a very stiff climb which all members negotiated well and we were in our hotel by 3 PM. It was our longest and toughest day so far, but the breathtaking scenery and the support from our team leader and members made it easy and enjoyable. A hot cup of tea and we were all reenergized ready to tackle tomorrows climb to Doban - a climb of nearly 500 meters.
